The Eastern International District (E.I.D.) of the International Executive Housekeepers Association represents the National Association in the Atlantic North Eastern section of the United States and part of Canada. Currently under the leadership of Lorrie Tripp, C.E.H., the E.I.D. fosters  professionalism and education among all of it's members.

Adhering to the association motto, "The best of me to my Association and the best of my Association to me” remains the challenge for the District to adhere to in the beginning of the new century. As we move forward we challenge our members to strive for excellence through the education programs offered by the National Association, our District and the individual Chapters. The even bigger challenge for our members is getting the word out and becoming "Ambassadors of Excellence" for the Professional Housekeeping Manager. By promoting I.E.H.A., the membership provides the following services:

Provides the community, our employers and co-workers with information about the
profession of Housekeeping and the Professional Housekeeping Manager.
Enhances the community, our employers and co-workers view of  our profession.
Increases the members professional and personal knowledge and business ethics which
             promotes the Professional Housekeeping Manaager.
               Develops management skills.
               Develops technical skills.
Develops a system of networking, which is International in scope,  on which you
can draw upon for knowledge, experience and educational training.

One of the goals of the E.I.D. is, not only too promote our profession and I.E.H.A., but to make the communities in which we live happier, healthier and cleaner environments. I.E.H.A. promotes the use of environmentally friendly and safe products in the cleaning industry. At the district we encourage our membership to consider the environment when purchasing products for use at work and at home. There  are  many chapters and  members in the E.I.D. that get involved in their communities and involve  their families in chapter events. We try to promote an atmosphere of caring and a family feeling within the district and our chapters.
